Here is another peice that tends to speak better for itself then I ever could. Its a Barrels necklace made of 20 awg Argentium Sterling Silver and 14K Gold filled rings.
Argentium Sterling Silver is a newish alloy on the market; in that it has only been around for a few years now,so it's not yet widely used. I use it because it takes a lot longer to tarnish (under everyday circumstances, at least twice as long). And the price difference to Regular Sterling silver in negligible, allowing me to not only work with this wonderful alloy, but make it available to you.
Gold filled wire is made from a solid layer of gold bonded with heat and pressure to a stronger base metal, like brass. It has also been called Rolled Gold, or Rolled Gold Plate. Because this kind of wire isn't plated, but starts as a tube of gold, the color won't scratch or flake off with time. You can get the look and feel of real gold without the price.
